In a petrochemical plant, a refinery or aboard a gas carrier, a camera is not only a recording device — it is a potential ignition source. Natilon ExProof is a time-lapse system certified to be present in explosive atmospheres: what gets it onto the site is not its image quality but its paperwork.
The system is built entirely from exproof components and carries ATEX certification. On sites with an explosive atmosphere, equipment acceptance turns on that document: the first question a safety officer asks is not the resolution but the zone and temperature class the certificate covers.
The housing is 316L stainless steel. That alloy resists the pitting corrosion driven by chlorides and chemical vapour — common conditions on petrochemical sites — markedly better than standard stainless.
Every entry into a hazardous zone is a risk, and on most sites a permit. ExProof ships with Natilon Timelapse Cloud integration: frames go to the cloud, the site is watched remotely, and seeing how the project stands does not require going in.
The archive is reachable from the web and from mobile devices, so gathering images for a progress report does not mean another trip into the zone.
